NBA 2K23 MyTEAM: Pioneers Pack

It’s Friday and NBA 2K23 is back with another awesome pack that its MyTEAM community can dig into over the weekend. Every Thursday afternoon, NBA 2K23 MyTEAM reveals some of the new players set to be featured in its latest pack release. This was no different for the all-new Pioneers Pack.

This new drop has special written all over it and comes with a really cool card art design. Highlighting some of the NBA’s greatest pioneers that formed their own distinct paths over the course of their careers, the MyTEAM Pioneers pack features six new stars (eight new cards in total) that all consist of 91+ overalls.

To go with this special drop is a three-part challenge that grants fans the chance to earn a free Pioneers pack. Once you receive the Pioneers pack, you will have a chance at drawing one of the new players accompanied by some additional rewards.

NBA 2K23 MyTEAM: Pioneers Players

Featured Player

The featured player of the Pioneers pack is none other than one of the greatest NBA legends of all time, center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Coming with an unguardable hook shoot and a towering, athletic frame, the six time NBA Champion and 19-time All Star is truly a scary card to go up against and brings just about everything you could ask for from a big man.

As illustrated in the image above, Abdul-Jabbar comes with three different versions. Though there are distinguishing differences between all three, you cannot go wrong with having any of these excellent Kareem cards in your lineup.

Pioneers Three-Part Challenge

The Pioneers drop comes with a three-part challenge that provides fans a neat opportunity to secure some bonus rewards. Upon completing all three tiers of the challenge, you will receive a free Pioneers pack with a chance to acquire one of these new star talents.

With that said, here’s what you will need to do in order to complete the Pioneers three-part challenge:

Pioneers Challenge – Part 1

1. Play Triple Threat game to 21 points against Pioneers Amethyst theme team on semi-pro
2. Win the game

Pioneers Challenge – Part 2

1. Play Triple Threat game to 21 points against Pioneers Diamond theme team on pro
2. Score 14 points with any player

Pioneers Challenge – Part 3

1. Play a four-quarter game (5 minutes per quarter) against Pioneers theme team on all-star
2. Make 7 shots from the post as a team
