UPDATE: Warner Bros. has confirmed that the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Mortal Kombat X have been delayed until summer. The Xbox One, PS4 and PC versions are still on track to release on April 14.
"Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today confirmed that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Mortal Kombat X being developed by High Voltage Software will release this summer," Warner Bros said in a statement provided to VideoGamer.com. "The Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC versions will be available April 14."
ORIGINAL STORY: The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Mortal Kombat X may have been pushed back to June, according to a new rumour.
But since then, Amazon US also appears to have updated its Xbox 360 and PS3 listings for the game with a new June 30 release date, seven weeks after its April 14 launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Logos for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions do not appear in a trailer released for the game earlier this week either, with only the Xbox One, PS4 and Steam logos present below the April 14 release date.
Warner Bros. has yet to confirm whether the last-gen versions have been delayed but we've checked in with them for comment.
If true, though, Mortal Kombat X wouldn't be the first last-gen title from Warner to suffer a delay. Last year's Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor was also pushed back on Xbox 360 and PS3, eventually launching almost 2 months after the game's debut on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
It was confirmed last month that the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC ports of Mortal Kombat X were being handled by Saints Row 4: Re-Elected developer High Voltage Software, with the PS4 and Xbox One versions being developed in-house at NetherRealm.
