More than 8 million tuned in to watch League of Legends Season 2 Finals

More than 8,282,000 unique viewers tuned in to watch the League of Legends Season 2 Finals on Saturday, October 13 to see the Taipei Assassins crowned as champions, Riot Games has revealed.

It was an incredible event – as seen first-hand by VideoGamer.com’s Disc Lickers – which saw over 8,000 people travel from all over the world to see the action unfold.

Riot also says that at its peak the Finals saw 1,154,000 people watching online, and that over the course of both the World Playoffs and Finals, fans watched a staggering 24,230,688 hours of League of Legends.
