More than 10,000 retail locations across 40 countries will open at 12:01 am on November 6 to celebrate the launch of Halo 4, Microsoft has announced.

In addition, more than 30 marquee launches will take place around the world, in major cities including London, Seattle, Paris, Berlin, Toronto, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Dubai and Sydney.

In London, Microsoft is promising a “spectacular stunt” down the River Thames from the Greenwich Peninsula to Tower Bridge on the evening of November 5. Those wishing to watch the launch stunt should arrive at Butlers Wharf, adjacent to the Design Museum (28 Shad Thames, London SE1 2YD), no later than 7:30pm.

GAME will be opening more than 350 stores at midnight, with the flagship London launch taking place at GAME in Westfield Stratford where developers from 343 Industries will be on hand to countdown to launch.

GAME’s also putting on a free bus from the Design Museum to GAME Stratford at 8:30pm, immediately following the Butlers Wharf stunt. However, spaces will be limited to a first come, first served basis.

Halo 4 earned a highly recommend 9/10 in our review.
