Monster Hunter fans are in for a treat with Capcom’s latest showing at Summer Game Fest. No, it’s still not a dating sim, so you won’t get to romance Gemma the Smithy. Instead, the latest trailer showcases more of the game’s beast-slaying RPG goodness that the series has become known for throughout the years. That, and more of what you can expect in terms of its story and setting, which are equally important to the game as its attractive blacksmith NPC (depending on your priorities, of course).

Monster Hunter series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto also revealed that Monster Hunter Wilds will be available on current-gen consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC) in 2025. So, if you don’t have a compatible platform yet, you’ll still have plenty of time to get one beforehand. Check out the official trailer below for a closer look at what you can expect in the game.

This is a developing story, and more details will follow soon.
