But what do all these extra additions mean for the game’s download size? Here’s the information you need to know.
Monster Hunter Rise PlayStation download size
On PlayStation, Monster Hunter Rise asks for 54.02 GB minimum on your hard drive. The PlayStation 5 version is also playable on the PlayStation 4.
If you buy it on PS4 and later get a PS5, you will be able to upgrade your copy for free. Your save data, however, won’t come automatically via the cloud. You will be able to transfer via USB, however.
Monster Hunter Rise Xbox download size
On Xbox Series X|S, it’s a little less demanding on your hard drive for whatever reason. The game’s store page only asks for a minimum of 27.10GB of space on your console’s storage for the game.
As a bonus, the Xbox version of the game is available via Xbox Cloud Gaming if you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber – so assuming your internet connection is good enough you may not need any hard drive space at all.
Monster Hunter Rise brings a bunch of new features – including the Wirebug and mountable dogs known as Palamutes to name just a couple of additions. You can check out our review here.
Expansion Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak, meanwhile, is currently slated to arrive on PlayStation and Xbox consoles in Spring 2023.
