The Call of Duty Next event gave us a brand new trailer for Modern Warfare 2 ahead of its release next month.

The trailer showcased both games in action – with plenty of bombast and gravitas teasing new features like the aquatic combat, to name but a few.

As always, it’s plenty of explosive, high octane action – and this time our music track of choice is a cover of Smashing Pumpkins’ Bullet With Butterfly Wings. Check it out below.

The second half of the trailer was dedicated to the all new Warzone 2.0. If you missed it, the new Warzone experience will include a brand new map, third person mode and much, much more.

New game modes include Knockout, Invasion and Hostage Rescue. We were even teased about Raids coming to the game after launch.

Today’s event also revealed that there’ll be cross progression between Warzone 2.0 and Warzone Mobile. You can now pre register for the latter on Android too.

Tomorrow will of course see PlayStation owners get their hands on with the game in the Modern Warfare 2 beta – you can read all about that here.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 arrives on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 on October 28.

Warzone 2.0 meanwhile, arrives a couple of weeks later and will launch free to play on November 16.
