The first DLC for Middle-earth: Shadow of War arrives today, that being the Slaughter Tribe, a really gross group of Orcs who bring a bit of terrible-Eli-Roth-gore-porn flair to your Nemesis system.
In the new Slaughter Tribe trailer you can see its denizens butchering, skinning, grinding and eating various bits of flesh. Buying this DLC adds the Slaughter lads themselves, a new fortress decor theme, gear set, and side missions where you hunt down Slaughter Tribe captains.
Today also sees some free updates, though. From today Shadow of War features an enhanced photo mode with nice filters, the Endless Siege where you just continue defending your fortresses for ever and ever, and Rebellion, where you 'crush the rebel Ologs and Uruks in your forces as they seek to undermine the Bright Lord.' Even if you don't buy any DLC, that should be enough to help the Nemesis system keep surprising you for a while yet, so don't forget to update your copy.
