Microsoft has issued a takedown notice to Czech website Ihned.cz, ordering the removal of the leaked Xbox 720 document, a move which adds credibility to the document.

In the notice, Microsoft claimed ownership of the “IEB Roadmap” document – where IEB stands for Interactive Entertainment Business, the Microsoft division which is home to Xbox.

The document was previously removed from Scribd at the request of law firm Covington & Birling LLP – the firm lists Microsoft as one of its clients.

Microsoft’s move to have the 56 page document removed seems to indicate that it is indeed real. Dated August 2010, the pages mentioned SmartGlass, Blu-ray support, 3D glasses, cloud gaming and improved Kinect. How much Microsoft’s plans have changed since then isn’t clear.

The firm is also yet to deny the legitimacy of the document.
