Dreams, the sandbox create ‘em up from the developer of LittleBigPlanet, is coming out of early access on February 14, 2020, according to a listing from British retailer Shop2.

Players produce incredible creations in Dreams with its powerful and intuitive control scheme as well as an extensive catalogue of assets made by other players. One talented person de-made Cyberpunk 2077’s E3 2019 demo to make it look like a chonky PlayStation 1 game. The Haus of Bevis is a favourite of mine, and it is a kooky and bonkers art game with an unnerving atmosphere. Harnessing the boundless creativity of its community, Media Molecule sought after small teams of game developers for collaborative content creation within the engine. It is clear that its longevity is very important to Sony, as Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida revealed that it has a ten year vision for Dreams.

Dreams is in early access at the moment but that might not be the case for much longer. Shop2, a British retailer of video games and hardware, proudly announced that the game will come out on February 14, 2020. Wait- actually, the tweet has been deleted. Curious. Did Shop2’s social media manager get their wires crossed or did the retailer accidentally leak Dreams’ release date?

With no official acknowledgement from Media Molecule nor Sony, it’s impossible to say for sure. The listing is still live but now it says that the release date is ‘to be confirmed.’ We’ll keep you in the loop until we know more, but it seems that we won’t be afraid to dream a little bigger in a few months time. Darling.
