NetEase has added a whole bunch of content with Marvel Rivals Season 1, double the amount of a normal season. With a host of nerfs and buffs, there has been a huge Meta Shift for the superhero game that has managed to change the most popular characters in the game.

Alongside the change in hero popularity, there has been a massive shift in which players are being banned in competitive modes. Not the same as player banning for cheating, higher ranks are able to enforce a Hero Ban to have more control over team composition. With Rivals’ devs sticking to their guns with a promise to never introduce a role queue, this feature has been universally praised.
