Marvel Rivals Season 3 is set to come out on Friday, July 11th. The new season will bring numerous changes, including a meta shift, a new Battle Pass, and more. Furthermore, NetEase will add Phoenix, a new Duelist, as the 40th hero in the game.
The upcoming season will also add many improvements and quality-of-life updates. Interestingly, the Marvel Rivals developer will finally release a change many players have been asking for. This change will make cosmetic items much better, especially skins and MVP animations.
The new Marvel Rivals season will finally unlock MVP animations
MVP animations are among the most popular cosmetics in Marvel Rivals. After all, there is no better feeling than carrying your team to a clutch victory in Competitive and seeing your name at the end. Each hero has a couple of MVP animations, but unfortunately, some of the animations are currently locked to certain skins.
The next season will unlock MVP animations, allowing players to use them with other skins. In other words, NetEase will remove costume restrictions from these animations. “From Season 3 onward, you can mix and match MVP animations,” Guangguang, the game’s creative director, shared in the latest dev vision.
“Use any costume and equip any MVP from any other costume of the same hero,” he added. Considering that this is something many players have asked for, it’s a welcome change. Not only will it make cosmetics more valuable, but NetEase may generate more profit from selling new MVP animations.
Marvel Rivals Season 3 will bring many other big changes, from hero buffs and nerfs to lobby backgrounds. The game developer has also revealed some of the content coming in the future, including Blade, another hero, and a new competitive mode.
