Mario Kart 8’s first DLC pack will arrive next Thursday, November 13, Nintendo has announced.

The pack introduces 8 new courses (including a pair based on The Legend of Zelda and F-Zero), 4 new vehicles and 3 brand new characters, including Link, Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach.

The DLC will be available for £7 or as part of a double pack granting access to next May’s DLC for £11.

All this happens the same day that a game update patches the racer to support amiibo figures. “When players tap Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Link, Captain Falcon, Fox, Samus or Kirby amiibo figures to the Wii U GamePad they will receive a Mii racing suit themed to the amiibo character,” says Nintendo. “Players’ Mii characters can wear these detailed suits when racing in the game.”
