No sooner have Wave 2 of the DLC tracks for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe landed, when we may have word on which courses could be in Wave 3.
Dataminers on Reddit have managed to find parts of music tracks in the files for the game. These files point towards eight more courses from various Mario Kart titles, with each corresponding to a specific track.
The order of the songs, combined with a previous leak revealing prefixes, seems to imply the next eight tracks will be as follows:
- London Loop (Mario Kart Tour)
- Peach Gardens (Mario Kart DS)
- Boo Lake/Broken Pier (Mario Kart: Super Circuit)
- Rock Rock Mountain (Mario Kart 7)
- Berlin Byways (Mario Kart Tour)
- Waluigi Stadium (Mario Kart: Double Dash!!)
- Merry Mountain (Mario Kart Tour)
- Rainbow Road (Mario Kart 7)
At the time of writing, Nintendo are yet to confirm this leak – so take with the required pinch of salt. Still, if true it’s a tasty selection and is sure to keep Mario Kart fans happy.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave 3 release date prediction
Nintendo hasn’t said yet when it plans to drop Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave 3. The first wave of tracks arrived in March of this year. Wave 2 arrived three months later, just this past Thursday. Assuming they keep this pace, hopefully we should see Wave 3 arrive around November 2022.
We’ll update when we hear for certain. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave 3 will be available for free as part of a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass subscription. Otherwise, it can be bought in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass from the Nintendo eShop for £22.49 GBP/$24.99 USD
