Majesco has unveiled two new Nintendo DS titles aimed at enhancing you mental acuity. In an obvious nod to Nintendo’s Brain Training, Majesco has announced Brain Boost: Beta Wave and Brain Boost: Gamma Wave. Both games are in development under the consultation of Dr. Makoto Shichida, creator of the Right Brain Development Theory.

Beta Wave will stimulate parts of the right brain that are associated with active concentration and busy thinking, and includes games that test skills such as finding a match, shape recognition, addition, sequences and moving dots.

Gamma Wave focuses on perception and problem solving, and features games for remembering circumstances, faces, images, numbers and colours.

Each Brain Boost game offers a completely different set of fun, yet challenging, brain training problems that are designed to enhance your mental acuity,” said Ken Gold, vice president of Marketing, Majesco Entertainment. “We believe a growing number of consumers are looking for more diversified game play experiences and the Brain Boost games will help attract a new audience to the category.

Both titles are scheduled for release in North America in November and will carry a retail price of $19.99. There’s no word on a European release at this time.
