With this remaster, Lollipop Chainsaw is getting a lot of new things that will give the game a more modernized look and feel. Here’s a closer look at what to expect from Repop.

Updated graphics and performance

The PC, PS5, and Xbox versions of the game will support up to 4K resolution and 60 FPS. Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch will get full HD resolution and 30 FPS.

There will also be shorter load times compared to the original game across all platforms.

Improved mechanics

Core functions like camera movement, attack speed, and movement speed have been adjusted to be more user-friendly. Weapons and abilities such as the Chainsaw Blaster and Nick Roulette have also been reworked for a smoother experience.

Additionally, mini-games like Zombie Baseball have been tweaked for balance.

Auto-QTEs

An auto feature has been added to Quick Time Events or QTEs to make the game more enjoyable for others. QTEs will be set to Auto by default but you can change this in the options if you prefer an experience closer to the original.

Extras

On top of all of these new features, Repop is also getting some new chainsaws for Juliet to wield along with a brand-new combat mechanic. In the remaster, landing consecutive hits will improve a chainsaw’s speed. This will give way to a new rating and combo system that can provide players with bonuses.

Real Time Attack Mode

In this mode, you’ll go through stages 0 to 6 in order to see how quickly you can clear them. It’s been a widely requested mode and fans can finally give it a go in this remaster. After clearing a run, your results will be registered on the world ranking board.
