A new Lego 2K Drive gameplay trailer has been released and it showcases several fast-paced scenes that will have you on the edge of your seat. Naturally, the core gameplay of the upcoming project from Visual Concepts and 2K Games is all about racing. However, the preview also displayed a few scenarios wherein you’ll also be tasked with a few non-competitive missions.

With the Lego 2K Drive release date inching closer to the finish line, fans of the block-based racing game will soon be able to compete for the coveted Sky Trophy once it drops. Before you can earn it, however, you’ll have to beat “the reigning Sky Cup champion and narrative antagonist, Shadow Z.” Fortunately, there will be a few other characters that will help you in your quest to be the best Lego racer alive.

As the new hotshot racer on the block, your mission will have you traveling all across BrickLandia as you battle enemies and help people throughout several uniquely themed worlds. Some of the environments that were shown in the video include an outer space-based region, a Wild West-themed location, and a grainy, colorless area that looked like it came out of a 1950s film.

Each of the vehicles used in the Lego 2K Drive gameplay trailer were also completely different from one another since you will be able to create your own by using individual Lego pieces. Certain vehicles can also apparently transform, which will allow you to navigate through different types of terrain.

Fans commenting under the video are already itching to get their hands on this new Lego racing adventure. If you are too, then you’ll only have to wait a few more days as Lego 2K Drive will be released on May 19, 2023 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
