Excitement is palpable within the Marvel Rivals community as the highly anticipated Season 2.5 gears up for its launch soon. The latest mid-season update is set to change the meta again, introducing Ultron, the legendary AI antagonist turned Strategist, as the 39th playable character in the lineup.
As revealed in NetEase’s Art Vision Vol. 1 video, Ultron’s role as a Strategist has ignited loads of speculation among fans. Recent leaks indicate that his drone-based abilities will seamlessly combine healing and damage, creating a high-DPS support style reminiscent of Invisible Woman.
Furthermore, a recent leak from the renowned dataminer X0X_Leak has revealed an intriguing simulated team-up ability for Ultron, hinting at a potential partnership that is unique. Here’s what it looks like.
Marvel Rivals Ultron leak shows a unique team-up ability coming for the character
Marvel Rivals leaker X0X_Leak has revealed that Ultron will receive an ability for the player to try with the Team-Up Simulation station in Practice mode. Furthermore, this leak also reveals that Ultron should most likely get a new ability with the team-up with one of the heroes in the roster during gameplay, with speculations pointing at Iron Man as one of the characters involved.

This team-up apparently boosts Ultron’s drones, allowing them to deal more damage while also giving temporary shielding to allies and resulting in a varied offensive-defensive dynamic. Though NetEase Games has not confirmed anything, the leak coincides with Ultron’s Strategist function which combines high-DPS support with mobility due to his unique flight ability.
Ultron’s entire kit is the subject of much speculation. His ultimate ability might be a vast drone swarm, overwhelming enemies with coordinated strikes, or reinforcing team defenses. Another claimed ability is Ultron’s ability to hack opponent tech, temporarily affecting Duelists such as Iron Man and Black Panther. With the Hellfire Gala Moments event and the Krakoa map currently available, Ultron’s unique kit and reported team-up potential are fueling anticipation for a meta-shifting upgrade.
