Aswell as the “Duel Mode” boss survival section, and “Demo Theatre” cutscene viewer, whose announcement was covered here, Konami have announced that the European release will once again feature the ludicrously difficult “European Extreme” mode, along with some additional camouflage and face paint designs, including the winning entries from Konami’s camouflage pattern design competition.
But is it enough?
Many fans aren’t happy with these lacklustre “extras”, especially given the delay between the title’s American and European releases, which, at almost 4 months, is very long for a major release, especially by today’s standards. Many series devotees are also lamenting the lack of a “Making Of…” DVD, similar to the one which accompanied the game’s predecessor, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty.
Regardless, Metal Gear Solid 3 promises to deliver yet another thoroughly engrossing blend of action, stealth, and strategy, and we’ll be taking a close look at the game when it hits our shores.
