Ryu Ga Gotoku has announced that Yakuza spin-off Judgment has reached the milestone of one million copies sold.

In a tweet announcing the news, the game’s chief producer Kazuki Hosokawa gave thanks to the fans. “Thanks to the support from all our fans we were able to reach a milestone of one million Judgment Units sold.”

“We’re now at the peak of the development process for Lost Judgment, and the whole team is hard at work to create a game that lives up to everyone’s expectations,” he continued. “I’d be honoured if you would look forward to the release on September 24, 2021.”

The game originally came out for PlayStation 4 back in 2018 before an enhanced version was released on Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5 earlier this year. Playing as former attorney-turned-private detective Takayuki Yagami, you must solve the mystery behind a series of murders in the same Kamurocho setting as its sibling series.

The sequel, Lost Judgment, was revealed just last month. It’ll see Yagami return for a new case that’ll see him take to the streets of Yokohama, previously seen in Yakuza: Like A Dragon. That’s scheduled to release on September 24 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
