Grip Digital and Terrible Posture Games have released the second trailer for  the upcoming bullet-hell first-person shooter, Mothergunship. Stuck aboard a spacecraft, players must shoot an endless swarm of mechanical enemies, on procedurally generated alien spaceships, as they attempt to make it through to the gargantuan endgame boss. My hands are getting clammy just thinking about it.

Mothergunship welcomes all to join in the resistance against an unending horde of alien invaders, large and small. The game’s a spiritual successor to Tower of Guns, released back in 2014, but Mothergunship seems to have greater hooks than that.

Players will be able to craft and customise weapons as they see fit, able to build the gun of their wildest fantasies. These weapons can then be taken on a shooty-bang-bang exploration of endlessly generated spaceships, as you search for the end boss, defeat it and save the universe. Then do it all over again, because why not?

Mothergunship is out in 2018 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
