With the pre-release phase now practically here, fans can’t help but wonder whether or not it will be available on the Nintendo Switch. Luckily, we’re here to answer this exact question for you so you won’t have to search any longer.

Here’s all that we know about the open beta’s playability on the handheld console.

Will the Diablo 4 beta be on the Switch?

Sadly, the Diablo 4 beta and early access periods will not be playable on the Switch. The game’s pre-release phase is only available on other home gaming consoles like the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the PC.

This means Nintendo loyalists who are looking to play through the pre-release phase will only be able to do so on the aforementioned systems. Even more troubling is the fact that Diablo 4 is seemingly going to be excluded from the handheld console’s catalog on launch day.

Its omission from the list of compatible systems comes as a surprise to many since the game’s predecessor, Diablo 3, was previously playable on the Switch. It’s worth noting, though, that it was only released on Nintendo’s platform after four years so this may be the case once again with the fourth installment.

At the time of writing, Blizzard is yet to acknowledge or make an announcement regarding their latest creation’s current and future availability on the Switch. However, we will continue to update this page with the latest information as soon as we receive more details from the developers themselves.
