The launch of InFamous: Second Son helped boost PlayStation 4 hardware sales by 106 per cent last week, according to an MCV report.
The site claims to have been told of the console’s success by a “trusted retail source”, and is also believed to have been helped by a fresh wave of PS4 stock arriving with retailers last week.
The boost in sales is even higher than that seen by Microsoft earlier this month, which experienced a 96 per cent boost in Xbox One console sales following the launch of Titanfall.
PlayStation 4 has sold over 6 million units worldwide, with InFamous: Second Son snatching the top spot in this week’s All-Formats chart.
