Fortnite has had several collaborations over the years which have changed the game majorly. From the much-loved Marvel season that’s ongoing to the Avatar The Last Airbender collab, players have been treated to unique weapons, gameplay mechanics, and cosmetic items.
However, one of the latest leaks for the next Fortnite season has revealed a major collab that is inbound and is kicking off an incredible feature that players have not seen in the game yet.
New Fortnite and Jordan collab will bring Shoes cosmetics to the game
New leaks by dataminers such as iFireMonkey have revealed that a new collaboration between footwear brand Nike Jordan and Fortnite is arriving soon, somewhere in the middle of Chapter 2 Remix.
The collaboration is set to bring different shoes as a new cosmetic item that can be worn by many skins in the game. These shoes will be sneakers like the Jordan 1s, Jordan 4s, Nike Cortez, and many more.
This leak further adds to rumors of a new type of cosmetic item that Fortnite players would be able to apply to their outfit in Chapter 6. However, now that it’s revealed that the collab might arrive sooner than that, players are excited to see how it fits their skin, and the unique looks they can give to their character.
One such player said, “It’ll be great seeing John Wick sporting J1’s.” Another user wrote, “I love how Fortnite keeps bringing in iconic sneaker brands. This is going to be awesome.”
However, other had a different thought since they believe shoes are going to be an added expense to an already costly item shop. One such user commented, “What’s the incentive on buying these? Nobody pays attention to the shoes you have in game.”
While there’s a definite divide in the community about the new cosmetic item arriving in Fortnite soon, players should be in for a different level of skin customization which will expand on Epic’s vision for the metaverse, right before it merges worlds with Disney.
