However, the large amount of modes that the game contains often translates into an even bigger file size. This frequently leads to the game eating up a huge portion of any platform’s storage system. But now, a new Manage Files option has been added within the game which allows you to uninstall specific modes that you haven’t been playing. Here’s how you can use it.
How to Manage Files in MW2
To manage files in MW2, you’ll simply need to navigate to the game’s settings by selecting the Gear icon on the top right of the home page. Next, choose the Manage Files option found near the bottom of the selections. This will bring you to the Manage Files page wherein you’ll be given the choice to uninstall either MW2 or Warzone 2.

You’ll also be able to further select the Manage Files option found under the Modern Warfare 2 section. This will allow you to uninstall specific modes included in the game such as Multiplayer, Campaign, and Co-operative. Each one has different file sizes with the Co-operative modes predictably taking up the least amount of space at around 3 GB.
A bulk of the game’s hefty file size comes from MW2’s Campaign mode in particular as it takes up around 28 GB of storage. So once you’ve played through it, you’ll be able to free up plenty of space by uninstalling it.
