Following on from the recent Resident Evil 4 Remake flickering issues – we’re going to go over how to fix this issue with PS5.

Certain issues have arisen surrounding the performance of lighting in game, particularly due to reflections. However, it seems these issues have extended to light flickering too. While this isn’t a huge issue – it’s been noticeable enough for PS5 users.

However, it has just been addressed by the developers of RE4R, who have posted the following PSA:

How to fix Resident Evil 4 Remake flickering lights on PS5

They’ve confirmed a fix for the game which includes the following:

  • Save and restart game
  • Set Depth of Field in Display tab to off.
  • Set Motion Blur in Camera tab to on.

However, the issue with this is that motion blur isn’t exactly the nicest feature in games. Alongside that, it’s only adding to the blurriness that some gamers are experiencing with the game. And then, to further complicate things, it seems as though ray tracing isn’t exactly working on the console as well as it should be.

If the above fix doesn’t work – we’d recommend you restarting your console. However, the only alternative is waiting for a patch that resolves the issue.
