Hillary Clinton to call for inquiry into “Hot Coffee”

James Orry Updated on by

Clinton, known for her anti violence in the media stance, will be joined by David Walsh, president of the National Institute on Media and the Family, Mary Bissell, fellow at the New America Foundation, and Kiersten Stewart, director of public policy for the Family Violence Prevention Fund. Reports claim that Clinton will call on the FTC to determine who is to be held responsible for the sex mini-game, allegedly found on the PC game disc of GTA San Andreas. Rockstar is claiming the mod has introduced the pornographic content into the game and therefore cannot be held responsible for the work of the mod community.

In the US, GTA San Andreas received an M rating, meaning the game is not readily sold to persons under the age of 17. There have been calls from other protesters to have the game’s rating changed to Adults Only, which would result in many states being unable to sell the game.

A statement distributed by the Senator’s office states: “Following recent reports revealing that the video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has graphic pornographic content which may be unlocked by following instructions on the Internet, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton will hold a press conference to discuss legislative solutions to keep inappropriate video game content out of the hands of young people.

Clinton will hold the press event at 10am in the Russell Senate Office Building.
