Madmind Studio has announced that upcoming first-person horror title Agony will be unleashed for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on May 29.

Agony plunges you down into the depths of hell as a tormented soul who has been stripped of his memories, and must survive the nightmarish conditions by solving puzzles and brushing shoulders with various creatures, some of whom you are able to possess to your advantage. The mysterious Red Goddess is apparently your only means of escape, while also serving as the architect of the hellish conditions you find yourself in. Not exactly a match made in, well, hell.

The project originally started out life on Kickstarter back in November 2016, and just one month later had successfully barrelled past its funding goal. Those of you who fancy a good slice of survival horror would probably do well to have a butcher's at the latest trailer below.

Agony's development team is comprised of a number of industry veterans, who between them have worked on the likes of Enemy Front, The Division, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
