Helldivers 2 fans have a lot of ideas for features they want to see introduced to the game. Some of these include new content to overhaul the multiplayer experience, while others are simpler concepts to make the game slightly better. One feature some of the community has desired since day one is a vote kick, and Arrowhead has explained why Helldivers 2 will “probably not” introduce a vote to kick despite fan feedback.
There is a lot to look forward to with HD2. Leaks for the Illuminate continue as the third faction keeps creeping closer, meanwhile, Arrowhead has confirmed they are fixing the game’s most divisive feature while also looking to revamp jet packs. In addition, although not guaranteed to happen, the CCO has shared a crossover he wants “that’d be the sickest thing imaginable“.
While all of the above is exciting, one feature some fans keep requesting is the ability to vote to kick. Although this is highly-requested, the likelihood of it ever being introduced to Helldivers 2 is slim.
Helldivers 2 will “probably not” add vote to kick
On the Helldivers discord, fans regularly interact with Arrowhead community managers. This way they get to share ideas while also providing feedback and being updated on plans for the future.
Recently, a fan expressed frustration on Discord about the lack of a vote to kick. The player posted “Seriously. When are we going to get a vote to kick? I had some t**t kick me out of a mission bc I was running around doing bug holes. And he and his 2 brain dead friends couldn’t raise the flag. Smh. Treasonous patsies”.
Although not tagged, Helldivers 2 community manager, B Vitamin, said Arrowhead will “probably not” add vote to kick as “it’s up to the host to decide who they want to play with”.
As for why it will not be added, B Vitamin explained “A vote kick doesn’t make much sense when the max group size is 4 on a peer-to-peer system”.
On the Helldivers subreddit, there are many posts requesting a vote to kick with the idea that it would help prevent poor hosts from kicking players without just cause. However, whether it’s a good idea or not, we now know that the likelihood of it getting introduced is slim thanks to confirmation from Arrowhead.
