The war against the Illuminate has resurfaced in Helldivers 2 as of update 01.003.000. Right now, players are tasked with thinning the forces of the Illuminate, but, as warned by Arrowhead, the invasion of Super Earth is “inevitable” with Widow’s Harbor, New Haven, and Palen V all “doomed to fall”. We know that the squids are coming to our home, and a Helldivers 2 leak has revealed gameplay of “Super Earth Mega Cities” featuring “SEAF troops on the battlefield” and more.

Helldivers 2 leaker, Iron_S1ghts, has shared five minutes of “Super Earth Mega Cities” gameplay. The description of the video says, “A preview of the “Mega Cities” present on Super Earth. Cities are not exclusive to Super Earth, but it does have very large ones”.
The footage does look post-apocalyptic and thrilling, and it shows SEAF troops on the battlefield along with the Illuminate Overship hovering above the battlefield. Iron_S1ghts has also shared screenshots of these happenings.
Recently, Iron_S1ghts leaked “various new missions” that will be available come the Super Earth invasion. One of these missions is “Take Down Overship,” and it has the description: “Activate the Planetary Defence Cannon and use it to bring down the Illuminate Overship”.
Iron_S1ghts has also answered a few questions on X. Asked if the Super Earth City buildings get destroyed, the leaker responded, “Yep! Each building can be destroyed, and displays a unique model once it does”.
Another user asked if there will be any more new Illuminate enemies for the invasion, and Iron_S1ghts responded, “I’m hoping so, but I honestly have no idea. It’s a possibility though”.
Lastly, the leaker was asked if there are any updates to vehicles, and Iron_S1ghts responded, “To my knowledge they will be receiving an update pretty close in the future. (New vehicle being added) But this may be outdated info now, not sure. We’ll see on May 20th”. May 20th refers to the leaked date for the next major update via PlayStation Czech Republic.
Remember that none of this is official and is merely leaks as of writing. Right now, we all have to do our best to combat the Illuminate as much as possible, even with the invasion of Super Earth a matter of when and not if.
