Helldivers 2 Super Citizen Edition gets discounted to celebrate the Escalation of Freedom update

The Helldivers 2 Escalation of Freedom update has finally gone live with the 01.001.002 patch, bringing new planets, enemies, missions, and many quality-of-life changes including buffs, nerfs, and kick-griefing protection. This comes just two days before the Freedom’s Flame Warbond is released, which will finally add fire-resistant armor to the game along with new weapons, boosters, and other cosmetic items.

To help celebrate the new Escalation of Freedom update, the Helldivers 2 Super Citizen edition has been discounted so new Helldivers can jump into the game for less.

For a limited time, players can purchase the Helldivers 2 Super Citizen edition for a 20% discount, taking the price down from £49.99 to £39.99 on Steam. The same discount is also available until August 15th on PS5, but the base game is not discounted on either system.

Here is everything that is included in the Helldivers 2 Super Citizen edition:

• ‘DP-53 Savior of the Free’ Armour Set.
• ‘Will of the People’ Cape.
• ‘MP-98 Knight’ Weapon.
• Super Citizen Status.
• Stratagem Hero Ship Game.
• ‘Steeled Veterans’ Premium Warbond.

Considering this is just £5 more than the base game, it is worth spending the extra money while it is on sale. The Steeled Veterans Warbond normally costs £7.99 unless you grind for Super Credits in-game, so this already makes it worth it, especially as it contains the meta Breaker Incendiary Shotgun.

You can also save even more money by purchasing the game on CDKeys, with the Super Edition currently being £33.99 at the time of writing, although the pricing changes regularly and I have seen it even less in the past.
