If you want to maximize your XP while playing Helldivers 2, you will need to be on the lookout for secondary objectives, which most maps have at least one to complete. Some of these include moving a radar tower in position, and the one that is the subject of this post, to arm a large weapon with artillery shells. This can be an incredibly slow objective to complete, but here is a handy tip to speed things up so you can get back to serving Liber-tea.
U/SeiuchiVR took to Reddit to share a tip to make the SEAF artillery shell secondary objective much faster to complete. This technique involves swinging the camera which ends up throwing the shell a large distance and much closer to where it needs to be placed into the weapon.
“You can “throw” the SEAF artillery shells by swinging the camera quickly and letting go of the shell midswing.”
Carrying the shells is incredibly slow and it can take up to 30 seconds to carry one to the objective. If you can’t get this technique to work, another great way to speed it up is to drop the shell, and once your character begins the running animation grab it again. This will then give you a moment before your speed decreases. You can do this repeatedly and it is much faster than just carrying it.
In my opinion, this is one of the best secondary objectives in the game and a change of pace from the chaotic gunfights, which can give you a breather for a couple of minutes. If you’re taking part in the current Major Order you will likely encounter a few of these objectives over the next few days, so now you know how to complete them faster. The Automatons are looking to attack the Andromeda Sector and our mission is to cut them off and “split their forces in two.”
