New stratagems are now available in Helldivers 2, and they’re reuniting the fractured community now more than ever. Despite months of controversies, the new Helldivers 2 orbital napalm stratagem is causing players to band together in the awe of mass destruction.
Helldivers 2 players love the boom
After months of complaints about crashing, poor visibility and countless bugs, Helldivers 2 players are finally happy for a period.
In the game’s latest patch, the new Orbital Napalm Barrage was introduced to players. Raining fire from above, the stratagem coats the battlefield in flames to devour your enemies, or yourself if you’re not careful.
After failing the last Major Order, players weren’t supposed to receive the latest stratagem reward. However, developer Arrowhead has now made the brilliant weapon free for all, and the community is loving it.
“It is a very satisfying series of explosions,” one player said. “I feel like my destroyer is raining hellfires upon the enemies of democracy. ArrowHead – MORE OF THIS PLEASE!”
“I hate that I’m becoming a hater for this comment but people are like buff this, nerf that. B*tch, all I want is explosions and tanks and even then that’s optional,” said another.
Comments in-game are simpler, but riddled with adoration. As soon as the flames scorch earth and foe, players immediately remember why they love Arrowhead’s shooter so much.
No one does it like them
As many fans on Reddit have said, unleashing the Helldivers 2 orbital napalm barrage is a “peak cinema”. After all, no game does explosions like Helldivers does, not even Just Cause.
While players will soon take to subreddits and forums to whine about balancing, the community is now in a period of peace. It may be short-lived, but it’s bliss.
