Helldivers 2 fans are desperately craving a new update from Arrowhead. The developer has already confirmed some incoming fixes while acknowledging “performance ain’t great,” and the developer has also hinted at some buffs for a weapon that “does indeed suck”. While we don’t know when the next HD2 update will arrive, a Helldivers 2 developer has said there is “no” update tomorrow, but we could possibly be set for some big news judging by history.
Helldivers 2 dev says “no” update tomorrow
On the official Helldivers Discord, a lot of Super Earth soldiers are incessantly asking when the next update will arrive. This is understandable as there are a large number of issues with the game as it currently stands, and the last patch was delivered on April 4th with update 01.002.203.
In response to whether the new update will come out tomorrow, Arrowhead QA lead, JoJo, simply said, “no”. This response came at 9:17AM BST on April 28th, so it appears to be alluding to no update for Tuesday, April 29th. Seeing as updates typically drop on Tuesday, this is disappointing news, although there is still the chance of Wednesday and Thursday.
While it’s looking like there will be no update on April 29th, there is the possibility we could still be set for big news. Although nothing is official, we are expecting the new Warbond to arrive imminently.
Warbonds typically come out every six weeks as demonstrated by the below schedule:
- Borderline Justice – March 20th
- Servants of Freedom – February 6th
- Urban Legends – December 13th
- Truth Enforcers – October 31st
- Chemical Agents – September 19th
- Freedom’s Flame – August 8th
As you can see from the above, all Warbonds came out after six weeks from the last, except for Urban Legends to Servants of Freedom which took seven weeks as an anomaly.
Assuming Arrowhead are keeping up with the six week schedule, the next Warbond should come out on May 1st. Warbonds are typically revealed two days before launch, so, if it is coming out on May 1st, then we should hopefully receive a reveal on April 29th.
None of this regarding the next Warbond is official, and is speculation based on what has happened with previous Warbonds. Internal delays are always possible, so we’ll just have to wait and see, but here’s hoping the next Warbond arrives as expected.
