Well Helldivers, it’s official. Moradesh is now gone. It’s the second planetary victim of Meridia, and it’s possible there could be more in the future. Prior to Moradesh being wiped out, Arrowhead posted a couple of videos. One of these videos appears to have contained hidden messages, while the other announcement video appears to show a mysterious Helldivers 2 planet.

Helldivers 2 announcement shows mysterious planet

Confirming the fall of Moradesh, Arrowhead posted a video announcing signal lost on the official Helldivers 2 X account. While the video appears straight-forward just repeating the message “signal lost,” when slowed down there are actually secrets hidden within.

One of these secrets is the appearance of a planet. As spotted and shared on Reddit by OP Possible_Monitor_215, at “around 4 seconds” there is the brief visual of a mysterious planet. This appears in a single frame and at the “bottom left”.

The assumption is that the planet is Squ’bai Shrine. This planet was the home world of the Illuminate during the first Galactic War. Aside from Squ’bai Shrine, there’s also a guess that the planet is instead Super Earth.

The appearance of this mysterious planet is quickly followed by the very brief snippet of Meridia. No one knows what this means, but it’s assumed that it could be a warning the Illuminate are even closer to fully invading Super Earth.

We will have to just wait for something to happen. Arrowhead hasn’t revealed their imminent plans for HD2, but the next Warbond shouldn’t be too far away judging by the developer’s usual routine of releasing a new bundle every six-to-seven weeks.
