Helldivers 2 recently received a new hotfix in update 01.002.201, and this provided a secret “massive buff” to one of the coolest support weapons in the game. While Arrowhead hasn’t provided an update on this HD2 bug yet, a Helldivers 2 leak has revealed that an awesome new feature is still “actively being worked on and updated”.

Helldivers 2 leaker, Iron_S1ghts, has revealed more details about what Arrowhead is secretly working on behind the scenes.
Per the leaker, “Weapon Skins are actively being worked on and updated”. An example of the feature is shared with the AR-23 Liberator.
In addition to weapon skins, Iron_S1ghts also stated in a reply that weapon attachments are in-development, too. These include “Underbarrel, mags, optics, really anything you would need. Even weapon internals”.
There’s still no ETA on when weapon customization will arrive, but hopefully it’s not too far away as there have been numerous leaks about it in-development.
Recent leaks have revealed a slew of possible weapon modifications for the Liberator, and fans have also discovered that these leaked modifications actually appear in the game’s opening cutscene.
