Helldivers 2 was a massive presence at The Game Awards 2024. Arrowhead well-deserved their wins and nominations, but the best part of yesterday’s awards show was the surprise drop of multiple new content. Following the awards ceremony, Arrowhead has announced a new Urband Legends Warbond for Helldivers 2, and it is available to grab today.

At the Game Awards 2024, Arrowhead won the trophy for best ongoing support. They also shadowdropped the update adding the Illuminate, and they also added vehicles, as previously promised by the game’s creative director and Arrowhead CCO, Pilestedt.

Now, as if the Illuminate and vehicles weren’t enough, the developer has released a new Helldivers 2 Urban Legends Warbond for players to claim.

Helldivers 2 Urban Legends Warbond

Following The Game Awards 2024, Arrowhead has released a Helldivers 2 Urban Legends Warbond that is now available to claim.

This is a special premium warbond as it introduces the game’s “first melee secondary weapon with the SQC-19 Stun Lance”. This is described as a “extra-large poker [that] is perfect for close quarters combat and pairs perfectly with the SH-51 Directional Shield stratagem”.

In addition to this first-ever melee weapon, the bundle packs E/AT-12 Anti-Tank Emplacement. This is a stationary weapon that you can “call down into a city center to put a dent in those Illuminate Harvesters”. As if the E/AT-12 Anti-Tank Emplacement wasn’t enough, Urban Legends also includes an A/FLAM-40 Flame Sentry flamethrower turret, too.

To help you fight off the Illuminate, there is also the new Armed Resupply Pods booster “which upgrades your resupply pods with a tiny top-mounted turret to fend off stragglers while you make your way to the ammo drop”.

As for armor, the Helldivers 2 Urban Legends Warbond introduces the SR-18 Roadblock heavy armor. This comes with a “crested, Spartan-style helmet and imposing pauldrons to bulk up your shoulders,” and it will make you feel especially badass.

There is light armor, too with the SR-24 Street Scout. Both the SR-24 and SR-18 both feature a Siege Ready passive that “increases your primary weapon reload speed by a whopping 30% and your primary ammo capacity by 20%”.

Lastly, Urban Legends has two capes with a gray and yellow color scheme. One is called the Greatcloak of Rebar Resolve, and it has an “extra large skull design,” meanwhile, there is also the Yellow Line cape. To top the bundle off, there is a “This is Democracy” emote clearly inspired by the iconic “This is Sparta” from the movie 300.
