343 Industries' Bonnie Ross has confirmed that Halo Infinite will be putting in an appearance at E3 in June. That may seem like a long way off, but it's not really; E3 is now less than a 100 days away.

Ross confirmed to IGN that the game's director, Chris Lee, will be on hand to chat about the hotly anticipated first-person shooter at the show, including details on what the new SlipSpace engine is capable of.

It's not all that surprising to hear Halo Infinite will be at E3. It's not been shown off since last year's show, and even then all we got was a very brief trailer.

The interview with Ross revealed some interesting tidbits about the Halo franchise. For starters, she confirmed that Gearbox was originally in line for developing Halo 4, and that 343 Industries thinks of Infinite as something of a spiritual reboot for the series.

Halo Infinite has yet to attract a release date, although it's rumoured that the game will be a launch title for the next Xbox console.
