Brand new car customisation options are coming to the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of GTA Online next week, Rockstar has announced, introducing the option to deck out your car with hydraulics and a brand new sound system.

Arriving next Tuesday, October 20, the new Lowriders update will introduce Benny’s Original Motor Works, a new customs ship in downtown Strawberry where players can customise a select group of vehicles with a range of mods, including brand new interiors, dial colours, hydraulics, and a new speaker system to “boost your stereo’s performance”.

“Visit Benny’s website via the shortcut on your in-game phone to choose from a half-dozen select customizable vehicles – then bring them down to the man himself for an upgrade that unlocks new custom lowrider mods,” Rockstar said in an update on the Rockstar Newswire. “Deck out your engine block with covers and air filters, coat your interiors with velour, leather and patterns, choose custom colors and designs for your dials, or add a new steering wheel and custom shift levers. Give your ride lift with hydraulics – the more powerful the pumps, the higher you can bounce. And boost your stereo’s performance with new speakers and subs in the back. “

Once your car has been customised you can show it off to friends by selecting new options in the Player Interaction Menu, allowing you to open the car doors, pop the bonnet and boot, or “switch on the engine to flash your neons”.

The update will also introduce new missions from Lamar, a fourth purchasable property, 3 new adversary modes and two new weapons: the Machine Pistol and Machete.

The update will not be available for the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions of GTA 5 due to technical limitations.
