The release date for the GTA 5 Online Money Fronts update is June 17th. This was confirmed by Rockstar over on their Newswire.
This is the summer DLC for Grand Theft Auto Online, and it looks fantastic. Per Rockstar, one of the biggest additions coming with this update is a Car Wash in Strawberry. This will conceal your illegal businesses, and it will also pull in passive income.

When does the new GTA 5 Online Money Fronts update come out on June 17?
The release time for when the new GTA 5 Online Money Fronts update will come out is 2AM PT/5AM ET/10AM BST on June 17th. This is when updates typically come out for Rockstar’s Online juggernaut, but there is always the possibility slight delays can occur.
If delays do occur, expect the update to arrive before 5AM PT/8AM ET/1PM BST. The DLC should start simultaneously across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, and hopefully it begins as expected.

How to preload summer DLC
Follow the below steps to preload the summer DLC before it releases:
PS5:
- Start your PS5
- Highlight GTA 5 on your PS5 home screen
- Select options on your PS5 controller
- Click Check for Update
- Select OK
Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One:
- Open My Games & Apps on your Xbox console
- Find updates
- Select GTA Online Pre-download
- Click update
Unfortunately, the ability to preload the summer update is only available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PS5. The download size for Xbox Series X is 4.6 GB, meanwhile, it’s slightly smaller on PS5 at 3GB.
GTA 5 Online Money Fronts update new cars
The only new vehicles announced for the GTA 5 Online Money Fronts update are as follows:
- Karin Everon RS
- Woodlander SUVs
- Declasse Tampa GT (Muscle)
In addition to the above, there is a new Western Police Bike that also comes with the special Summer Highway Patrol Outfit.
New features
Of course, the biggest new feature being added is the Car Wash. The new car wash establishments include Higgins Helitours and Smoke on the Water. These will provide passive income for your criminal establishments, and they will also “boost earnings on your Weed Farm and Air Freight Cargo, respectively”.
However, Rockstar warns that any “illegal dealings through these establishments will attract attention and generate Heat”. If the Heat gets too high, “you’ll need to lose the attention by playing the role of local business owner and managing the legitimate side of your operations to continue collecting passive income”.
In addition to the car wash and new vehicles, Rockstar is “adding Missile Lock-On Jammer capability to 50 more vehicles, making several cutscenes skippable on mission replays, and doubling all sources of Arena Points”. They are also adding “Additional improvements” such as “delaying the global signal timer for Sell Missions in public sessions and disabling the Boxville Van Delivery Vehicle from Biker Sell Missions”.
Lastly, for subscribers of GTA Plus, Rockstar is giving early access to the Överflöd Suzume supercar, and they are also rewarding subscribers with the privilege of a second daily spin of the Lucky Wheel inside The Diamond Casino & Resort.
