Grand Theft Auto 6 is finally set to come out next year. It’s the most anticipated video game of all time, and it will break all sorts of huge records when it launches. Rockstar are returning to the wonderful night life of Vice City, and this time there will be protagonists named Jason and Lucia intertwined in a romantic relationship. While fans are excited to play as Jason and Lucia, there remains a lot of love for the trio of GTA 5. Many are hopeful of cameos, but the GTA 5 actors have urged fans to “campaign” for GTA 6 story DLC, with even Steven Ogg wanting to return as Trevor.
GTA 5 actors want GTA 6 story DLC
The main trio of GTA 5 recently took to the stage at Comic Con Brussels. Ned Luke as Michael, Shawn Fonteno as Franklin, and Steven Ogg as Trevor reminisced about their experiences making the game with Rockstar and fielded questions from the audience.
YouTuber, The Wizardly Vlog, shared a nearly 20-minute video of the Q&A, and at the 12:40 mark a fan asks, “What would you guys think about if there was a DLC in GTA 6 where we could come back to Los Santos to see what happened to all the protagonists of the game?”.
Ned Luke immediately responded, “That would be great,” and said it could be referred to as “The final score”. Fonteno then said, “So y’all campaign”. Even Steven Ogg showed a willingness to return, saying “Send in your postcards for one last score”.
Of course, the idea of campaigning for such DLC is in jest, but it’s good to hear that all three of the actors would like to return in GTA 6. Ned Luke and Shawn Fonteno have always talked highly about Grand Theft Auto, meanwhile, there’s a misconception online that Steven Ogg hates Trevor. Ogg has clarified in the past that he doesn’t hate Trevor and thinks it’s a very good character and that he has no issues with Rockstar.
While it would be the nice to see the band get back together in GTA 6, the odds of a story DLC seems slim. There was no story DLC for Grand Theft Auto 5 as Rockstar focused on GTA Online, and there were reports of story DLC starring Trevor getting cancelled. There was also no story DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2 despite everyone clamouring for another Undead Nightmare.
Although anything can happen, it’s presumed that there will be no story DLC for GTA 6 either as Rockstar will likely focus solely on Online post-launch. Still, while story DLC seems out of bounds, it would be nice to see cameos from Michael, Trevor, and Franklin in the GTA 6 campaign. Steven Ogg has even suggested bringing Trevor back in GTA 6 so he can be killed off in the opening, which would be poetic justice after he caved in the head of GTA 4 Lost and Damned protagonist, Johnny.
Trevor has appeared in GTA 5 Online, and so too has Franklin. Michael is the only one yet to appear, and it’s possible he could be part of the December DLC leaked to have Mansions. Either that or he could possibly cameo in GTA 6, having moved to Vice City. The possibilities are endless.
In other Grand Theft Auto news, a Grammy-winning music producer has revealed how custom stations will work in GTA 6, and Take-Two has eased concerns about another delay by stating that when Rockstar “set a specific date, that ends up being the date”.
