Whoever said crime doesn’t pay clearly weren’t taking any tips from Take Two Interactive, as the publisher announced that Grand Theft Auto V has now sold more than 85 million units in the US, making it the all-time-best selling video game as per The NPD Group.

The announcement was made as part of their earnings report for the second fiscal quarter of 2018 (ending September 30 2017) and covers US digital and physical sales across both PC and console. In addition, the company announced that Grand Theft Auto Online is one of the titles largely responsible for an increase of 31% in their digital revenue from the same period last year and accounted for nearly 68% of the company’s total net revenue .

Also cited as performing strongly for the company were basketball games NBA 2K18 and NBA 2K17 as well as XCOM 2, which saw its expansion War of the Chosen released a few months back.

For the future, CEO and Chairman of Take Two Strauss Zelnick said that they ‘Expect fiscal 2019 to be a record year for Net Bookings and net cash provided by operating activities led by the upcoming launches of Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 and a highly anticipated new title from one of 2K’s biggest franchises.’  Â
