UPDATE: Rockstar has now confirmed the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition release date as November 11 with a new trailer, which we’ve embedded at the bottom. It’ll launch on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC digitally all on the same day too.

ORIGINAL STORY FOLLOWS: It seems as though Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will be launching on November 11.

The date was spotted on the package’s page on the Rockstar Games Store by GamesRadar. While Rockstar are yet to formally confirm the date, today marks the twentieth anniversary of Grand Theft Auto 3. Presumably, therefore, an official announcement will come from the company later today. We’ll update this story when and if it comes.

However, it’s interesting to note that, according to the page, not every version will release on the same day. The store claims the digital PC, PS5 and Nintendo Switch versions will release in November.  However, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox options only list physical copies, and they’ll launch a little later on December 6. This might change come the official announcement, we’ll have to wait and see. (It did: see the update above)

The Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was finally announced after months of speculation a couple of weeks ago. It’ll include enhanced versions of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Upgrades promised include “new lighting and environmental” enhancements as well as high resolution textures. Rockstar also promises overhauled Grand Theft Auto V-style controls and targeting for the games in the collection.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will land on November 11.
