GOG.com, the DRM-free digital distributor, has officially added Windows 8 support to the platform.
More than 430 titles are currently compatible, with the promise of more to come in the months ahead.
“The majority of games that we support for Windows 7 work on Microsoft’s new OS already,” said Guillaume Rambourg, managing director of GOG.com, “but we’ve also put hard work into updating many of the titles that may be harder to get running under the new Windows as well. The result of re-testing and updating our entire catalogue is evident now with our official support of Windows 8.
“Gamers who are looking for a great opportunity to pick up the best games in history on their new OS will surely find something for them in the newly-updated GOG.com catalogue.”
In addition, GOG.com is localising its catalogue search to include more than a dozen languages, including German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Czech, and Turkish.
