God of War mouthpiece Cory Barlog has addressed the perceived lack of boss battles in the epic, bone-shattering PlayStation 4-exclusive actioner.

Speaking during an interview with GamingBolt, Barlog revealed that the team was forced to leave a number of bosses on the cutting room floor during development. Simply put, people just don't realise how much effort goes into designing each these massive, health-draining buggers.

'You know, there are several bosses that I had to cut throughout the game simply because we got about 15 to 20 people on each boss, and those bosses go anywhere from a year to two each,' he said.

If you were one of the people who wanted more bosses, then Barlog's message is simple yet light-hearted: Don't be a greedy git.

'You're kind of being greedy, because while I'd love like ten more bosses in there, this game would have taken like 20 years to make.'

God of War was released on PS4 in April, and as you can tell from Alice's review, did a lot of stuff right. In fact, the game sold over five million copies in its first month alone, and set records across the pond to boot.
