God of War: Ragnarok preload time

God of War Ragnarok is available to preload right now on the PlayStation Store. So if you’ve pre-ordered digitally, launch your PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4 and get downloading now.

Head to the game’s page on the PlayStation Store, and if you’ve already put your preorder money down, the pre-order button should now say “Download”.

Choose if you want the PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4 (if you’ve opted for the version of the game with both) and then download the relevant version to your console’s hard drive.

God of War: Ragnarok preload file size

You’ll need around 100GB for PS5 & 111GB for PS4 of free storage space for installation, it has been confirmed.

This makes it roughly twice as large as 2018’s God of War, which required around 45 GB of storage.

Bear in mind that there could be updates to improve day one performance too – but on our PS5 the game clocks in at 84.15GB of space.
