The PlayStation Showcase gave us a first trailer for Ghostrunner 2, the sequel to the 2020 surprise-hit action platformer.

While the trailer didn’t give too much away – our titular hero was riding a bike up a skyscraper, and was using a dangerous looking whip, so we can likely expect more hyper-parkour verticality from the sequel. We won’t be waiting too long either, as the trailer announced it’ll be launching later this year although a specific date wasn’t mentioned.

The game will also be coming to Xbox, PlayStation and PC on GOG, Epic Games and Steam, and is set one year after the events of the original game. “Blood will run in this post-apocalyptic cyberpunk future that takes place after the fall of the Keymaster, a tyrant who ruled over Dharma Tower, the last refuge of humanity. The player has the power to shape the future of humanity and take on the violent cyber ninja AI cult that has taken shape outside Dharma Tower, making for a truly epic and unforgettable experience.”
