In Marvel Rivals, a bunch of bugs and exploits have begun to disturb the multiverse battlefield, putting the developers’ abilities to maintain balance and fairness to the test. From Rocket Raccoon’s cooldown-resetting techniques to Peni Parker’s previously invisible Arachno-Mines, players have discovered a host of bugs that tip the scales in this competitive environment.

While NetEase has responded quickly to some bugs, such as the recently patched Peni’s mines exploit, new ones continue to emerge, aggravating both casual and ranked players. One of the most commonly used exploits by Rivals players has been using Doctor Strange portals to throw their enemies off the map. Adding to that, a game-breaking Doctor Strange portal exploit that sends players to a different realm beneath the map, effectively removing them from matches with no way to return is now running wild.

While this exploit was only used in the Empire of the Eternal Night New York map with the help of Jeff The Land Shark, it has slowly crept its way to every map in the game. Clips of the exploit in action have gone viral, showing powerless heroes like Squirrel Girl and Luna Snow disappearing into the vacuum, their matches wrecked.

Doctor Strange’s portals trap enemies in the shadow realm using this Marvel Rivals exploit

A new Marvel Rivals video regarding the glitch has surfaced and is going viral on social media which uses the deadly combo of Jeff’s Ult and Doctor Strange’s portals on the Tokyo 2099 Shin Shibuya map. The video showcases three POV’s, one from the victim, one from Jeff, and one from Strange’s perspective.

From the victim’s POV, you essentially get swallowed by Jeff and suddenly a Doctor Strange portal appears on the ground, and suddenly you’re thrown inside the portal by Jeff. Just when you try to climb out, the portal closes and banishes you inside what the internet is calling the “shadow realm.”

Unfortunately, you’re trapped under the map until the round ends as there’s no escape outside and the enemy team can capitalize on the exploit to its full extent. On the other hand, if you’re playing as Jeff, make sure to keep your voice comms on and speak with your Doctor Strange. Use your ult, swallow enemies, and as soon as you get a signal that the portal is open, throw the enemies inside it and step back. Then signal Strange to instantly close it.

Now here comes the tricky part, as Doctor Strange, you need to stay as close to the spawn room as you can. Then use the Pentagram of Farallah, reposition your first portal at the corner of a room, and stick it close to the wall. Then open the second portal at the exact same second Jeff swallows his enemies and then, give him the signal. Now while Jeff throws the enemies and gives you the signal to close the portal, head inside the spawn room and switch your character. And now the portal will close automatically and you’re done executing this new exploit.

Further reports by players have also shown that this glitch can be carried over to any map currently in the game and it hasn’t been confirmed if you can receive a ban for using this or not as it’s merely a gameplay bug and not technically “cheating”. So head into Rivals and use it to your full extent before it gets patched.
