Playground Games is going on its victory lap, as the success of Forza Horizon 5 continues apace having welcomed ten million players to Mexico.

The game’s official Twitter account declared the milestone to mark the game’s first full week on sale. The image also revealed that these figures make it the biggest first week in Xbox and Xbox Game Pass history.

It wasn’t too hard to see this coming, given the game already reported 4.5 million players just one day after it launched last Friday. The exponential rise in the game’s playerbase started even before that, with almost a million forking out for early access via the game’s Premium Edition.

The development team have been hard at work since then polishing up the experience for players. Forza Horizon 5‘s first hotfix landed just over a day ago, fixing crashes and improving the stability of online modes. The update also fixed VIP Player Houses, removed a couple of exploits and fixed loyalty rewards. You can check out the full list of changes in the patch notes for that over here.

We’re big fans of the game too, giving a score of 8 in Josh’s review you can take a look at over here. Forza Horizon 5 is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
