The next Fortnite season is around the corner! Chapter 5 Season 4 is scheduled to begin next Thursday, which is why many players are trying their best to finish the current Battle Pass as soon as possible. Fortunately, this task will be much easier in the final few days, as Epic Games announced a new XP boost coming soon.
In this article, we will reveal everything you need to know about the upcoming leveling boost in Fortnite. We will explain how you can get it and what’s the best way to use it. Thanks to it, you will be able to rapidly level up and unlock new rewards.
The next XP boost in Fortnite starts on Tuesday
On Tuesday, Epic Games changed the release date of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4. Instead of Friday at 2 AM Eastern Time, the new season will begin on Thursday at 11 PM, three hours earlier. While this is not a big deal, the game developer decided to give an XP boost to all Fortnite players next week. This move will ensure that players don’t miss out on any extra rewards due to a slightly shorter season.
The game developer posted this announcement on the Fortnite Status account on X (formerly Twitter). Essentially, Supercharged XP multiplies XP gains from in-game actions, such as getting eliminations or opening ammo boxes. Opening a chest, for example, grants 100 XP without Supercharged XP, while it grants up to 1200 XP with it.
To get the XP boost in Fortnite, you simply need to log in on August 13 after 9 AM Eastern Time. The boost will be automatically applied to your account and will last until you earn 240,000 XP from in-game actions. Keep in mind that the boost will not affect quests. Thanks to this, you can complete them without losing your XP multiplier.
The leveling boost will expire once you level up three times with it. However, if you complete challenges at the same time, you can get more than five levels in a short period. To get the most out of the XP boost, you will want to open every chest and ammo box you can find in Fortnite, break Slurp Barrels, get eliminations, and perform many other actions that grant XP.
